About

I, Prof. B. Sudhakar Reddy, Senior Professor of Economics at Osmania University, have dedicated more than thirty years to academia, research, and policy engagement. My specialization lies in Microeconomics, International Economics, and Econometrics, and since 1995 I have taught postgraduate and doctoral students, combining rigorous theoretical foundations with practical applications that nurture critical reasoning, quantitative skills, and policy insights.
As a supervisor and mentor, I have guided numerous M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars, many of whom now hold distinguished academic and professional positions. My research has focused on the intersections of economic reforms, inclusive growth, rural development, and labour economics, with papers presented at leading national and international conferences. I have also delivered keynote addresses and chaired sessions in UGC-sponsored and international academic forums.
Beyond teaching and research, I actively contribute to the academic community through professional associations such as the Indian Society of Labour Economics, All India Economic Association, Andhra Pradesh Economic Association, Telangana Economics Association, and the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi.
My academic ethos is rooted in rigour, inclusivity, and service, reflecting a sustained commitment to mentoring, institution-building, and advancing India’s evolving development trajectory through knowledge creation and dissemination.
